The New York State Fairgrounds is immediately adjacent to I-690 just west of Syracuse and easily accessible from the NY State Thruway/I-90 (east and west) and I-81 (north and south). Follow Fairground signs once you enter Syracuse area.

No animals are allowed in the Expo Center with the exception of “Service Animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act”.*

Directions

Take the New York State Thruway (I-90 East) to Exit 39, then follow I-690 East.

Take the New York State Thruway (I-90 West) to Exit 34A, follow I-481 South, then follow I-690 West.

Take I-81 South into Syracuse to Exit 22. Follow Bear Street (Route 298) to I-690 West.

Take I-81 North into Syracuse, then follow I-690 West.

Take best route to Binghamton, NY, then take I-81 North into Syracuse to I-690 West.

The New York State Department of Transportation’s 511NY, which allows you to get traffic and transit information how you want it, when you want it.

The New York State Fairgrounds has four large parking spots for nearly 14,000 vehicles, as well as open spaces within the fairgrounds an additional 9,000 cars. Parking is free for nearly all non-Fairtime events unless noted in an event’s details.

Please note that the map shows lots that are only in use during the Great New York State Fair. The lots available outside of the Fair are the Orange, Brown, Pink and Gray lots, with parking space available on open areas of the Fairgrounds.

*Service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered to the handler at all times, unless being attached interferes with tasks. If not attached, animal must remain close to the handler and be under verbal or signal control. Any Service Animal who displays unruly or aggressive behavior towards other guests, employees or animals may be denied entry or asked to leave the facility. For the safety and well-being of all involved, all other animals are prohibited. Further, it recommended that owners/handlers confirm that Service Animals are up to date on all vaccines.
